What do we do in a rehab PT session?

Stretching is key to good mobility and so we spend time at the beginning and end of the session doing key stretches for you to alleviate tight muscles. We work on building the neural connection between your pelvic floor and deep core muscles (the transverse abdominals) so they work together to start to regain core strong aiding the healing process and building future strength. This is done through teaching you specific exercises that allow you to breathe fully through your ribs and back, engaging the pelvic floor muscles and TA’s correctly together. At the correct point for you we move into the postnatal recovery stage and continue with your rehab and core training with different exercises that develop this further.
